the inspiration behind Robert Ang’s short story ‘Petros’

Petros was inspired by the ideology behind the Turing Test.

I wanted to communicate the idea that human cognition is largely an opaque process, both to observer and thinker, and that all anyone has to work on is the outward manifestations of behavior.

Using homosexuality as an emotional backdrop for complex motivations, I wanted to ennoble the idea of behavior as opposed to strict unembodied thought.
