As a gay Jewish maths person, I am so happy to be able to help celebrate the Turing centenary, and to memorialize both the gifts that he gave us and the sacrifices that were unfairly forced from him. It’s impossible not to wonder whether I’d be here at all had his work at Bletchley Park not helped crack Enigma.
Yes, my dog does, or rather did, chase skateboards. At thirteen, his arthritis has made that too much of a bother. He has never bitten anyone, though he has locked on to one or two boards. I’ve never bitten anyone, either, so far.
